WEAC

Resident Political Expert Mark O'Connell,
Executive Director for the Wisconsin Counties Association
with special guest:
Dan Burkhalter, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC)

K-12 education is critically important. It shapes the lives of the 5 to 17 year olds who will someday be the wealth generators of the state of Wisconsin. This week, Mark O'Connell invites Executive Director of WEAC Dan Burkhalter to discuss how WEAC is helping to shape Wisconsin education.

As Burkhalter explains, WEAC is more than just a "teacher's union." Rather, its 98,000 members consists of teachers, early childhood educators, instructors/staff of technical colleges, teachers in the department of corrections, retired teachers, and student members who will soon become teachers. Together, they represent the best of those working in public education in Wisconsin.
